Employee Spotlight: Meet Pat Coffman

Welcome to Hyosung’s employee spotlight! Our April Spotlight is on Pat Coffman, Administrative Specialist.

Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung? What was your start date?

A: I have worked at Hyosung for 2 years. I started on April 19, 2021.

Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company?

A: I joined the company in April 2021. A friend of mine that works at Hyosung called to say a position was open that I might be interested in. I had just left a company that I had been with for 30 years and was eager to find something else, so I was very much interested. In my past position I wore several hats, office management and facility manager was the most recent.

Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?

A: Warm and welcoming environment.

Are there any import skills or attributes that are important for someone that wants to pursue a career as an Administrative Specialist/Office Manager.

A: One of the main attributes is optimism and by taking initiative in the anticipation of office needs. I enjoy taking an active interest in the company’s well-being along with the ability to be friendly and accessible. I have a PHR in HR, this certification has helped me with my people skills in office and facility management.

Q: Can you tell us about your role and summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?

A: My main role at GSC is to work with Keith and the employees with their administrative needs, and to ensure the smooth running of the Miamisburg office.

Q: What inspires you every day?

A:By getting to work with the GSC team. The people are fabulous! There’s always something to learn.

Q: In 5 years what do you want to achieve or where do you see you yourself?

A: My goal in the long-term is to keep on learning and giving 100%!

Q: Do you have favorite memory or standout accomplishment you want to talk about? A moment during your employment at Hyosung? With your team, customer, or event, etc…

A: By having the pleasure to work with Facility, IT, and Marketing in the move of our facility to a new office in the dead of winter. It was fantastic, and I was able to grow my skills in the renovation and moving process! The move went smooth and management was accommodating and gracious. I felt like my opinion mattered!
