Employee Spotlight: Meet Kristy Stagg
Welcome to Hyosung’s employee spotlight! Our January Spotlight is on Kristy Stagg, Senior Marketing Manager.

Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung?
A: I started with Hyosung April 2022
Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company in 2022?
A: I joined Hyosung after a dear friend of my joined in 2021 and talked highly about the company. I was working for a Security Company for 8 years prior working on their global marketing team. Prior to that, I worked for a large advertising company in Cincinnati, Ohio where I learned about the advertising world.
Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?
A: The Hyosung Team was very welcoming and I was excited to start this new chapter in my career with the team. I joined in the middle of the rebranding project and knew I had my work cut out for me, and I was looking forward to the new challenges ahead but I was scared. But scared is good because that means there are exciting things ahead.
Q: Are there any important skills or attributes that are important for someone that wants to pursue a career as Senior Marketing Manager? Is there anything about your job or your team that you think people outside would find surprising or different in the way you/it works?
A: In marketing, you have to be good at multitasking and changing your direction instantly depending on what might need at that exact moment. I know that I have a running list of things to do that never seems to end but I’m ok with that. I’m never bored!
Q: Can you tell us about your role and summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?
A: We wear many different hats in our department and no two days are the same but that’s what makes our job so great and exciting. It can be overwhelming at times but I have a great team and support staff that I’m grateful for.
Q: What inspires you every day?
A: To still say I enjoy what I do. Keep learning from those amazing people around me and keep trying to improve myself.
Q: In 5 years what do you want to achieve or where do you see you yourself?
A: Working remotely is flexible and can be done from any location and I’ve always heard the weather is great in Hawaii or another tropical destination. Winters in the Mid-West are brutal and anticipate our company will expand to the 50th state eventually, so I will be at the top of the list for transfers.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
A: We are a big socializing family who love to cook and entertaining. Volunteering, fundraising and event planning is something I’m passionate about when it comes to the nonprofit world.
Q: Do you have favorite memory or standout accomplishment during your time at Hyosung?
A: Being a part of the recent Hyosung Innovue launch and hosting the kick off meetings in New Orleans was great. It was so wonderful to see everyone’s hard work come together after the last year. I learned a great deal and will forever be grateful for being a part of that project. I look forward to future projects.
