Hyosung Remembers Retail Industry Leader, Jason Kuhn

On Thursday, May 21st, Jason Kuhn, a highly-respected and influential member of the ATM industry, unexpectedly passed away. Jason was a valued member of the Hyosung Leadership team since 2015 and a leader for the ATM industry as a whole. He left an impact on everyone that he worked with and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

Jason was a true pioneer for the ATM industry. He had over 25 years of service in the retail ATM marketplace and was a key contributor to several ATM councils including the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) and the National ATM Council (NAC). He holds several ATM patents and helped develop many of the technologies that we use in today’s marketplace.

Prior to his business career, Jason proudly served our country in the United States Air Force as a Tactical Electro-Environment Systems Specialist on the F-15 aircraft. Shortly after serving, he joined WRG Services (WRG) in 1995 after deregulation where he was instrumental in the development and manufacturing of retail ATMs, building the business to be acquired by PAI Systems in 2010. At the time of the acquisition, WRG had manufactured over 20,000 ATMs of his design and had a processing portfolio of over 14,000 ATMs. PAI still remains as one of Hyosung’s key retail ATM partners.

Jason joined Hyosung as the Vice President of Product Marketing in 2010 bringing his extensive knowledge of the retail ATM marketplace. He continued his passion for innovation by working on Dynamic Currency Conversion, card-less ATM programs, and the industry’s first mobile ATM management application.

More than anything else, Jason will be remembered for his great personality, positive attitude, friendliness to everyone he met, passion for his work, and overall love for living every day to the fullest. He truly loved the little things in life and it was an honor to have him as a leader for the Hyosung team for so many years. We have lost a dear friend and valued colleague and the industry has lost a true innovator and champion.
