I think we can all agree that 2020 has been the most incredibly odd year that we can remember.  From countrywide fires and murder hornets to a global pandemic, we’ve seen tremendous fluctuations in economies across the globe. The word that comes to mind is “uncertainty.” With uncertainty comes irregular household spending and shifts in spending habits.  The same is true of businesses. I was thinking today about this year and the impact that it has had on the Retail ATM market. I thought about our customers and how lower traffic to ATMs could affect their revenue streams.

As with any crisis, it’s not hard to find acts of kindness by individuals and corporations. One doesn’t need to look further than the individuals within the medical community that continually put themselves in harm’s way on the front lines every day for the good of us all.  Companies like Anheuser-Busch (and many others) producing sanitizer when none was available, Gap stopping clothes production to make masks, gowns and goggles for healthcare workers, and American Express matching donations to Feeding America from their cardholders up to $1 million. The list goes on and on from there.

Like so many others, Hyosung wanted to find ways to give back to our customers. I’m excited to talk about a few new initiatives at Hyosung that are designed to take care of our customers through these troubled times and beyond.

Hyosung’s retail ATM warranty has long been one of the best in our market, and we decided to make it even better.  We started by extending the warranties by 12 months for all Halo II, 2700, Force and 5200SE sales that expired between January 1 and December 31, 2020. I believe it is best explained by our CEO Hee-Eun Ahn, “We appreciate our customers and that is why we are extending their warranty.  We know that these are difficult times, and we are here to support everyone through them.”

At NAC 2020, we announced an industry-first service offering, a Warranty Part Replacement Service.  All retail ATMs that are sold on or after November 1, 2020 are eligible for up to 2 free service calls to replace warranty parts in the first year. This plan combines two of the most innovative aspects of the Hyosung Company: the Industry-leading ATM service program and our superior Retail ATM products.  Now, customers can take advantage of our extensive Service network that boasts over 500 certified technicians across 46 states. No one else in the industry is able to offer this to their customers. As long as you are asking for service within these areas of coverage, you are eligible to take advantage of this program; it’s simple to submit a warranty claim through the claim process already in place today. Just login to nhatm.com and follow the steps listed.

At Hyosung, we pride ourselves in being the most innovative option for our customers, and that extends beyond our hardware and software. We will continue to provide innovative new benefits in all aspects of our product offerings. As we enter into the holiday season, we say goodbye to the chaos of 2020, and we enter into an exciting new year with endless possibilities.  At Hyosung, we want to do our part to ensure your ATM equipment is the least of your worries.
