Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung?

A: I have worked at Hyosung for 1.5 years. I started June 15, 2020.

Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company in 2020?

A: I started my professional career in the ATM industry in 2012. I was fortunate to learn a lot about the industry under the guidance of my manager at that time, Stacy Lacy. After leaving that company, I spent 6 years working in the hospitality/convention industry working with some of the largest financial institutions in the world. In 2020, I jumped at the opportunity to rejoin the ATM industry and once again work with Stacy Lacy at Hyosung.

Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?

A: My first impression of Hyosung was how efficiently every aspect of business is conducted compared to my previous employers. It was very comforting to know that senior management was not only supportive, but also accessible for guidance to help me succeed.

Q: Are there any important skills or attributes that are important for someone that wants to pursue a career as a Project Manager? Is there anything about your job or your team that you think people outside would find surprising or different in the way you/it works?

A: To me, an under valued key attribute to succeeding in a project management position is being a “team player”. It’s critical to work well with not only the customer, but sales, production, shipping, field technicians, management, etc. Each relationship is different in nature, but being a good partner and doing your best to help each department succeed individually, ultimately helps the team succeed together.

Q: Can you tell us about your role and summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?

A: My role is to coordinate and manage the deployment of hardware for our customers. On a day-to-day basis, I communicate with our customers and multiple departments to prepare for futures installs. Additionally, I am in constant communication with our FSEs while they are installing hardware so that I can provide timely and accurate reports to the customers throughout the day.

Q: What inspires you every day?

A: My wife, Camden. She is one of the hardest working people I know and supports me in all that I do. She is also carrying our first child, who is due in April!

Q: In 5 years what do you want to achieve or where do you see you yourself?

A: In 5 years, I see myself continuing to grow as an employee and become more efficient at my job. I want to take on more responsibilities and learn something new every day.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

A: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy snowboarding in the winter and going to see the World Champion Atlanta Braves play baseball in the summer.

Q: Do you have favorite memory or standout accomplishment during your time at Hyosung?

A: My favorite memories were the 2 weeks spent in Irving for a pilot deployment at the end of July. I was finally able to meet so many great coworkers who I previously had only spoken with over the phone.
